Life skills involve abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that will equip our students to thrive in the classroom and in the world beyond. We strongly believe that life skills can be cultivated, and such skills should be instilled in our children from an early age to enable them to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. Bearing this in mind, specialists from diverse fields were engaged to conduct workshops on a selected range of life skills.
In addition to the New Product Innovation classes, students attended a 2 day workshop on Creativity and Problem solving. This workshop was conducted by specialists from TRIZ, an organisation promoting creativity and innovation globally. Students learnt how to observe, probe and question in their attempts to bring about improvements to product development.
In a 2 day Financial Intelligence workshop, students were trained in different aspects of real world financial intelligence. The students were taught various skills which included management of their monthly expenses, capital savings, car instalment calculations and the concept of profit & loss. In addition, a session on how to prepare for a job interview was held. The workshop also highlighted case studies of successful CEOs.
