Andy Lim Say Kiat

Andy Lim is currently the Group Managing Director of the Malaysian arm of a more than 40 year old global financial conglomerate with network companies in 16 countries. He is instrumental in driving the growth of the group’s Malaysian business over the past 18 years. Andy Lim holds the position of Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Director in its Malaysian Unit Trust company which is one of the largest third party online multi fund platform in Malaysia in terms of number of funds available. He is a board member in most of its key subsidiary companies in Malaysia.

Andy Lim has close to two decades of experience in the capital markets covering fund management, derivatives broking, financial planning, research, financial platform development, distribution and marketing.

He was a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Financial Advisers of Malaysia from 2013 to 2015.

Developing from young, he was able to assume multiple diverse roles in his career & the industry, set records and create numerous industry or world’s 1st.

In 2003, Chu became the only CIO & without owning a company to win the Pikom-Computimes “ICT Achiever of the Year” against a number of successful entrepreneurs, followed by Pikom “Key ICT Industry Leader” Recognition in 2005 and the first Malaysian individual nominated for the World IT & Software Alliance’s Global IT Excellence Awards 2004. The various innovations & breakthroughs led to winning over 15 awards; from CIO Asia Award, UNDP-sanctioned eAsia Award, International APICTA Award to the first bank solution entered into the Malaysia Book of Records. Chu actively contributed in over 20 differing industry committees including ASEAN Workgroup on Infrastructure & Tourism and led a number such as Chairman of Asia-Pacific Users Group Council (APUGC), Chairman of Banking Industry Real-time Gross Settlement Working Group and Chairman of Share Guide Association Malaysia.

Chu has over the last 30 years been coaching students & entrepreneurs, developing talents and building a winning team that excel in everything they do (work, sports, competitions, CSR/community initiatives, arts & design). His small local HSBC IT team was transformed into a global entity supporting HSBC Group worldwide and benchmarked as the “Best & Most Efficient IT Team” in HSBC Group. Using his multi-award winning & award judging experience, he coaches, mentors Malaysian winners/entrepreneurs to winning success in International competitions/pitching.

Chu had spoken in many international conventions (World Congress on IT 2008, Global CIO Forum 2006, International Banking Summit to IBM CIO Survival Camp) and in differing forums (banking, technology, HR summits, education/career fairs, national youth entrepreneurs convention, motivation & leadership programme). He had appeared ‘live’ on TV Talk show and in the past interviewed, featured often by regional media & publications.
Sylvie Maurein
Sylvie has been long serving in the education sector and done IGCSE O’Levels. Her previous experience includes Founding Coordinator for an international school and Head of Department for Modern Foreign Language, French and English as Second Language with IGCSE syllabus. She has been in Malaysia for more than 30 years, holding a Malaysian PR.

She is an approved French examiner for Cambridge International Examinations, UK, holds Diploma in TESOL, Certificate in teaching practice and graduated with Bachelor of Arts, French major.
Sum Leng Kuang
Fondly known as Madam Sum to most, she had worked loyally in Great Eastern Group for 31 years until 2013. Madam Sum has over 30 years of experience in fund management, particularly in fixed income funds, credit and market risk management. As Head of Fixed Income Investment in Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad, she was responsible for the management of approximately RM40.0 billion fixed income funds as well as the credit risk management of the credit investments portfolios. She was invited to join Credit Guarantee Corporation as Investment Advisor since May 2015.

With proven track records, Madam Sum has demonstrated prudent investment philosophy and ensured best investment practices. Madam Sum graduated from University of Canterbury, New Zealand with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance. She is also a Certified Financial Planner.
Deepak Sadasivan
Deepak Sadasivan is the managing partner of an established legal firm in Malaysia. He is a graduate of King’s College, University of London and holds a Masters in International Financial Law. He has been in legal practice for more than 20 years and is extensively involved in banking, finance, Islamic finance and capital markets work.
