Innovators club engaged in an exciting hands-on activity using Daphnia, a freshwater microcrustacean, to study the effects of alcohol on heart rate. Daphnia’s translucent exoskeleton allows us to easily observe their internal organs under a microscope, making it an ideal model organism for our experiment. We measured the heart rates of these tiny creatures before and after exposure to alcohol, providing valuable insights into the physiological effects of substances on living organisms. It was a fascinating way to combine biology and experimentation while deepening our understanding of aquatic life!

🎥 Exciting times in the Design and Media Club! Our students have collaborated in groups to produce captivating short videos, showcasing their creativity through role plays of interviews, reports, and news segments.
Get ready to boogie! The dance club kicked off with a fun warm-up and some stretches to get everyone limbered up. Then, it was on to learning a brand new dance choreography! Members were divided into smaller groups to learn the choreography. Everyone put in a lot of effort and had a blast mastering the new moves. By the end of the session, all the groups came together to dance the choreography as one! It was a great way to get some exercise, learn something new, and bond with fellow dance enthusiasts.

Students were shown a video from Youtube to practice dance steps. Teachers advisors added and showed simplified steps and get the students to dance. This performance is mainly for the Merdeka day opening dance. The video was divided into small chunks and students master and dance according to the choreography. This practice will continue for the next club activity as well as during tutorial periods.

Students had the invaluable opportunity to learn and practice CPR and choking rescue techniques. Dedicated students from St. John Ambulance facilitated the session, ensuring that everyone gained essential life-saving skills. Here is to making a difference, one skill at a time!
Students learned the skills of folding and steaming dumplings. They started by marinating ground chicken with soy sauce, salt, and Sichuan peppercorns, then mixed in finely chopped carrots and green onions. The dumplings were then placed in a steamer and steamed on napa cabbage leaves for 10 minutes, until they were completely cooked through. The dumplings were enjoyed hot and juicy, with students relishing both the cooking process and their flavorful creations. ✨✨

This meeting was packed with creativity and organization as the students embarked on two exciting tasks. First, they designed posters and order forms for the upcoming Mother’s Day project. Then, they revamped the club’s notice board to better showcase their activities and achievements. The students combined their artistic talents and organizational skills to make the notice board as impressive as their entrepreneurial endeavors!
Our club members endeavoured to make their own egg tarts, a classic dimsum item in Malaysia. Together, our club shall rise as one in Eggcellence!
Students role play delegates of various countries to address the issue of the high crime rate in Malaysia. The students were more aware of their secret agenda this round and more prepared to debate. Hence, the discussion was fruitful and students were able to fulfill their secret agenda properly.
Debate activity called For or Against, where students were split into 4 groups and assigned to argue on a certain given topic, ranging from food preference, lifestyle to questions about the internet in education and friendship.
Students get to show off their creativity by designing and creating their own keychain. The keychain is done using a special paper that shrinks when in contact with high temperature. The cute drawings became even cuter when it shrank.
Board Games Club members are introduced with a new board game “No Thanks” in this club meeting. Each student has to avoid taking high-point cards by placing chips on them and have the fewest points at the end. Students get to improve their strategic thinking and decision making skills through the gameplay.
